I've never used a software like this...is it easy to get started? 

It is! Riverside is extremely intuitive to use and you'll probably be able to get started without needing a lot of extra support or resources, but if you do get stuck Riverside has a great support team to help! 

Is Riverside just for podcasting?

Nope! You can use Riverside to record any type of audio or video that you need to. I use Riverside to not only record my podcast, but also Youtube videos and tech tutorials for my business. Riverside is also a great option for reading your online course videos too. 

What other tools do I need to use Riverside? 

You'll need some sort of microphone so that Riverside can hear your audio, but you can get started by using the microphone on your computer or in your headphones. I use the Audio-Technica ATR2100x microphone. 

For video you can use your built in webcam on your computer or buy an upgraded camera like the Logitech Brio Webcam.
